Yes, this might be the first and only post in my native language. For the first time in my life I'll have to shut my mouth because I won't know HOW to express a thought. That actually might work in my favor. I will have to comtemplate a sentence before saying it. The locals/other students might actually take me as shy! Or at worst think I'm just rude. The game plan is to just smile and nod! This is one of the major challenges of this trip. It will be frustrating not to know what people are saying but the point is to improve my French.
I've been going through my clothes and ugh! I think I need to do some shopping! I knew there was a reason I stopped eating my favorite foods. Is it appropriate to wear a shirt with English written on it? Even if I'm sporting one of my favorite soft drinks? Hmm.
In order to prepare, I bought an audio French CD to listen to in my car. Its kinda dumb because I don't talk like that so why would I think that the French do? I don't see myself kissing my fingers and saying "miam miam!" at someone. Chocolate is yummy, people are not. Haha, at least the CD warns its rude in case someone doesn't already know that! Duh!
